    An Inspired Power Plant

    An Inspired Power Plant
    June 2024

TAPYEG’s MDC will redevelop the power plant. Finally. After decades of talking about it. The power plant sits on sacred and historically significant land, it is a physical statement of shared history, it serves as a platform for both reconciliation and modern experiences. But, for decades, mayors and councils have accomplished nothing beyond delivering speeches and doing studies.

The power plant must be the centrepiece that defines our region’s story. TAPYEG will advance Canada’s reconciliation museum at the power plant in West Rossdale with a $25m investment seeking matching funds by other orders of government.
