The Party for City Builders
Ward Champions
TAPYEG has Ward Champions in Wards now. Soon we will have multiple Ward Champions in each Ward. These individuals are the heart and soul of our party. A Ward Champion is not a candidate seeking to run for elected office nor is there an expectation they become one in the future. A Ward Champion is a leader who wants to see Edmonton move forward with a clearly defined and exciting vision.
Here are a few key things to know about what a Ward Champions does:
-
Chat one-on-one with neighbours
-
Host small events in the Ward
-
Participate in regular coordination meetings
-
Join a TAPYEG committee
-
Contribute to shaping the TAPYEG platform
-
Commit to undertake training on the best practices of political organizing and the role and function of local governments
TAPYEG will be announcing all Ward Champions in the near future but it is not too late for you to become one and engage with your community.
