TAPYEG is idea-driven and action-oriented. If we are not excited by ideas and talking about ideas, we are going backwards. The conventional municipal political process, and the politics that has become the norm, are not known for advancing your innovative ideas. The Department of Ideas will report formally to the Executive Committee every month.

Any individual or organization can come to present an idea to the Department of Ideas that will achieve any one of the following:

• Simplify how the City works and improve how we deliver core services

• Develop something that complements the City’s vision in an innovative way

• Unlocks capital or generates revenue that is of benefit to the City
